CPD points available for upcoming WCPDF annual conference
The Western Cape Property Development Forum (WCPDF) has secured CPD points for its upcoming annual 2026 conference, ‘Future (City) Perfect, to be held on the 24th and 25th of June at the CTICC in Cape Town.
To date, CPD points secured include accreditation for ECSA and SACAP members, as well as for SACQSP members. For ECSA and SACAP members, these include crediting the event with SACAP Category One CPD Credit Value of 2.0 credits and for SACQSP members, there will be 7 CPD hours for Day 1 and 2 CPD hours for Day 2.
“We know that many registered professionals in our industry will welcome this news. We are still pursuing other CPD Points as well, and these will be regularly updated on our conference website,” says WCPDF Chairperson, Deon van Zyl.
The 13th annual conference will interrogate the many different challenges the property development and construction industry faces – from growth of megacities, how future cities will be funded, who will build them, and how reforms to policy with government are critical.
Session topics for Day 1 include ‘The Future of Megacities in the Western Cape’, ‘The Urban Design-led Future’ and ‘Building a Production Pipeline for the Future’ while Day 2 will focus on ‘Public-Private Partnerships: Driving Urban Transformation’, ‘Funding the Cities of the Future’ and ‘Rebuilding the Industry’s Capacity to Build Future Cities’.
Day 1 will open with popular SA trends analyst Dion Chang of Flux Trends with his presentation ‘The State We’re In: The trends that speak to political, economic and social aspects of cities’ with Day 2 to conclude with ‘Political (Future) Hard Talk’ with Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and the City of Cape Town’s Executive Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis.
Renowned broadcaster Africa Melane (Presenter, Early Breakfast, on 702 and CapeTalk) will be back as Master of Ceremonies.
“The Conference is an ideal opportunity for networking across the entire Built Environment, with many private and public sector delegates now attending from outside the Western Cape,” notes van Zyl.
