Mixed-use development begins construction on prime Green Point site
Construction of the R2 billion mixed-use development, The Granger, adjacent to the DHL Stadium in Green Point, Cape Town, has begun.
The project, a JV between The Devmark Property Group and The Feenstra Group, and supported by the City of Cape Town, occupies one of the last major undeveloped sites in the area.
Strategically positioned between the city’s CBD and the Atlantic Seaboard, The Granger will be a mix of hospitality, retail, and office space with planned components to include an international hotel group with 190 rooms, 200 apartments, 3 000m2 of retail space and 14 000m2 of P-Grade office space.
Both The Devmark Group and The Feenstra Group say that once operational, “The Granger will be one of the largest and most transformative developments Cape Town has seen in recent years.”
Construction is expected to continue through 2027 with completion targeted for early 2028.
