The PPRA officially backs Property Point’s Real Estate Incubator Programme

The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) has officially endorsed the Property Point Real Estate Incubator Programme.
To date, the incubator programme has been successfully rolled out in Gauteng and the Western Cape, drawing close on 3 000 applications from 35-year-olds and younger (most notably women) with expansion into KwaZulu-Natal.
SA’s unemployment rate currently sits at 33.2% with most unemployed citizens being young people. This initiative is more than just a job creation programme, it is reshaping the industry’s future, says Property Point.
“The PPRA’s support underscores that this programme is not only credible but critical. It reinvigorates our mandate to scale faster, attract more partners, and transform the sector from the ground up,” said Shawn Theunissen, Founder of Property Point. “We’re not just creating jobs, we’re building futures, businesses, and ownership opportunities where none existed before.”
The incubator equips participants with financial support during their ramp-up phase, licensing and equipment, personal and professional development training, hands-on mentorship from leading real estate brands, and market access opportunities.
“As the regulator of the property sector, the PPRA is committed to driving transformation, professionalism, and inclusivity within the industry. Our endorsement of the Property Point Real Estate Incubator Programme reflects our belief that youth participation and skills development are essential to the sector’s sustainability. By supporting initiatives like this, we are not only opening doors for young South Africans but also strengthening the foundation of a more representative and resilient property industry”, says the PPRA.
