Dipula Properties acquires 5 assets for ±R700m

Dipula Properties has acquired five assets totalling approximately R700 million including the 24 000m2 community shopping centre Protea Gardens in Soweto.

“Protea Gardens Mall is an excellent strategic fit for Dipula with embedded growth and value unlock potential, underpinned by quality tenants and a growing consumer market,” says Dipula’s CEO Izak Petersen.

The REIT has announced that it has concluded terms for two retail additions; the 4 600m2 Woolworths Gezina, which sits adjacent to its Gezina Galleries, will be incorporated into the existing centre and separately, land adjacent to the 15 000m2 Tower Mall in Jouberton.

In addition, Dipula has concluded terms for two industrial properties; the 6 964m2, multi-tenanted Airborne Industrial Park near OR Tambo International and a modern logistics development, Abland DC, spanning +16 000m2.

The deals are subject to standard conditions precedent with transfers anticipated to take place between September and November 2025.
