Current CEO of Growthpoint Properties South Africa, Estienne de Klerk, has been appointed as Group CEO of Growthpoint Properties with effect from the 1^st of July 2026 with José Snyders, appointed as Group Financial Officer effective 1^st of January 2026.

In 2022, current Group CEO Norbert Sasse announced that he would retire. De Klerk’s appointment follows a succession planning process overseen by the REIT’s board over several years.

The Group’s Board has also announced Group CFO Gerald Völkel’s retirement to be succeeded by José Snyders, current CEO of Liberty Two Degrees.

Marking 22 years at the helm of Growthpoint, Sasse will continue to lead the company for the current financial year to the 30^th of June 2026 with de Klerk to take the reins for the Group’s 2027 financial year. Sasse will remain with the business in an executive capacity for six months until the 31^st of December 2026.

The REIT has also decided to remove the position of SA CEO as part of a broader review of its executive leadership operating model.

Völkel and Snyders will work in parallel for three months between January and March 2026 with Völkel to retain responsibility as Group Financial Director for Growthpoint’s FY2026 half-year financial reporting and to officially hand over to Snyders from the 1^st of April 2026.
